2022 ICCA FINAlist
who we are
The Class Notes are Cornell's oldest existing all-gender a cappella group. Though we were originally founded in 1983 as a jazz group, we've since grown to sing everything from Beyoncé to Billie Eilish to Bruno Mars.
We perform on campus, the greater NY area, and also go on tour every year to various parts of the world. Previous tours have been to Jamaica, Canada, Miami, Boston, Virginia, and more.
Over the years, our crazy concert themes, sharp choreography, and love for Tostitos Hint of Lime chips have given us a place in the hearts of both past and present Cornellians. The Class Notes have been featured on best-of-a cappella compilation albums, are ICCAs finalists, and also have won multiple awards at ICCAs, including “Outstanding Arrangement” at the 2019 ICCA Central Quarterfinals for “Japanese Denim” by Daniel Caesar, and “Outstanding Soloist“ at the 2026 ICCA Central Quarterfinals for “Creep“ by Radiohead. Additionally, the Class Notes have won 1st place at Cornell’s A Cappella United competition three years in a row (2023 - 2025). We recently released our 14th studio album “Duality", which is currently available to stream on all streaming platforms! We also have our 15th studio album, “Exposure” coming out soon!
If you'd like to join the Class Notes, come hang with us at auditions this Fall semester! We look forward to meeting you.
Until then, enjoy our recent music video and album, Duality!

Our signature drink: HINT OF CLASS SMOOTHIE @ MAC’s cafe ~4/16
Hint of Class is the Class Note’s signature drink and its recipe has been passed down for years.
In the past, through a collaboration with Mac’s Cafe on Cornell Campus, we made a smoothie version of the Hint of Class , which was available for everyone until the day of our Concert.
We hope to bring this smoothie back sometime soon!
